Note: If you got here using a web search engine, you can find the program here.

Disclaimer: Although Quit Application CM seems to work fine, it is distributed "as is". Use at your own risk.

Quit Application CM is a contextual menu plug-in that will allow you to quit an open application without having to switch to that application. This is really meant to make it easier to quit background only applications especially for developers.

To use it, drag the "Quit Application CM" file into the "Contextual Menu Items" folder located within the System Folder. Depending on your system, you may have to reboot for it to take effect. When you control-click (or right-click - doh!) on the icon of an open application, you should be able to quit it. Note that this uses an AppleEvent to quit the application, and because a contextual menu plug-in isn't a real application, AppleEvents aren't supposed to work. Quit Application CM seems to work fine, but if you encounter problems, please let me know.

If you have any questions, comments, (constructive) criticism, or bug reports please let me know. You can contact me at the address(es) below.
